Alexandra Mallick Williams is the Director of Policy for California for #cut50. Her work in California includes policy and advocacy to advance criminal justice reform. In addition to working on legislation, she is works with incarcerated individuals to help change the narrative around and shine a light on the power of rehabilitation. She has been involved locally in the Bay Area in advocating against extreme sentencing for youth and has worked with victims of crime to amplify their voices and commit to healing through restorative justice practices.
Prior to joining #cut50, she worked at Human Rights Watch as an Associate Director in the Bay Area. She grew up in France and graduated from New York University with a B.A in journalism and middle eastern studies. She is a board of member for The Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth.
