I will remember to have compassion for all, not just those I agree with but everyone. From a Buddhist perspective, love is wishing others to be happy and compassion is wishing others to be free from suffering. As we show kindness to others and wish them well, we spread love. This ripples out from each of us, affecting everyone it touches. So, whether you be friend, enemy or stranger, my best intention is to show love and compassion for you.
We fear those we don't know. So today reach out to a stranger and show them kindness. Get to know them a little. Embrace difference. Whatever religious, racial, ethnic, or political differences we have, we can still have love and compassion for each other.
