See Each Other A Human: A #messytruth Watch Party

This is a FREE Community Watch Party of the #MessyTruth, a primetime special hosted by Van Jones on CNN.

The show is all about listening to people’s hopes and fears and trying to understand one another. The show is a reflection of this moment, which is itself a messy truth.

In America the midst of all the inflammation and toxicity... we’ve lost the ability to step into someone else’s shoes and see each other as human beings. We don’t all have to agree, but we can learn a lot from each other.

Many people have expressed an interest in learning how to talk across our political and cultural divides. People want to dive into the #MessyTruth themselves.

These Watch Parties are a step toward this. The #MessyTruth is an example of how we might approach these conversations. What could we learn from watching them together? Our future depends on our ability to have difficult conversations all across the country. Constructive disagreement and democratic debate is the basis of all progress.

Come as you are.

We will meet in the Sanctuary of the Central Christian Church in Kalispell, which is an accessible venue, at 248 Second Ave. East, between the Library and Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, 2 blocks east of Main & 2nd.

Arrive around 6:30 to get comfortable, meet some folks, and settle in before the show begins at 7pm. After the show, we will have time for facilitated discussion. We hope you will join us, as we know you care deeply about spreading #lovenothate in the Flathead.
