Dr. John Anner, PhD, has been working in social justice and international development since the late 1970s. He has been active in community and international solidarity organizing in the US, and has also worked in West Africa, Southeast Asia, India and Central America. From 2003 to 2015, he led Thrive Networks, an international development agency implementing large-scale projects in health care, education and clean water across Asia and Africa. He was also the founder and executive director of the Independent Press Association, a membership organization of social justice periodicals, from 1996 to 2003. Dr. Anner has a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, and an MS in International Development. His research interests include quantitative analysis, impact measurement in social enterprise, and exponential organizations.
