Matt is an Oakland native with a passion for making change work for more people in our society. Previously, he worked at Code for America, an innovative tech nonprofit which believes that government can work by the people, for the people in the 21st century. There, he successfully led the charge for many successfully funded initiatives, including the 2015 Google Impact Challenge. He got his start in Development at Hack the Hood, an award-winning youth tech nonprofit which provides social entrepreneurship training for underserved youth in the Bay Area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
