Imran is co-founder and CEO of Embarc, a multi-award winning non-profit that is dramatically changing outcomes for urban youth through experiential learning. Embarc was founded on the idea that isolation is one of the key factors in the achievement gap and that experiences are fundamental to success. Previously, Imran taught at Harper High School, labeled “the most dangerous school in the country” by NPR’s This American Life. He is the son of Indian Immigrants who came to this country to pursue the American Dream.
