About your host:
Ivy hails from a small town in Maine. She came to Boston to expand her experience of life and community. She found her way to Northeastern University, where she received her B.A. in political science and later her master’s in public administration. Meeting her husband, loving the buzz of people and diversity of food and music—she’s made Boston her home for the last 20 years. She’s enjoyed spending much of her time in whatever professional capacity - creating spaces for lively, meaningful community for people from all streams of life and perspectives. As a pastor of community life, in a non-denominational faith community, she’s found a perfect melding of all her favorites: people, diversity, community, and love at the center of it all—and, if we are lucky, some tasty food and outstanding music! In her spare time she enjoys teaching elementary kids in an outdoor classroom and hiking with her three kids as often as possible.
